World at War Hangover

It has been a bit quiet here at CODnChips website over the last few days, as we've all been hammering COD:WaW (you can read Logrus' account of it all here).

But we havent only just been enjoying ourselves, we've been taking notes and soaking up valuable intel which will be unleashed on the website over the coming week(s). So check back soon for in depth articles on the co-op part (death cards, zombie mode, competitive play), callofduty's extensive webstats, weapon info and map tactics.

World at War Weekender

What a great gaming weekend!

Zavvi finally delivered my copy of WaW at about 10am on Saturday, having been ordered at 4pm on the Thursday, the day before release! Of course, my buddy Nick had already had his delivered at Noon on that Thursday, so got in a good munching of play before any of the rest of us.

What of it then? World at War!

So much more to do than in CoD4, not to say that CoD4 still is not utterly brilliant, as it is, but CoD5 offers up a level(ish) playing field as all combatants search the levels for sneaks, hiding spots and dirty, little camping grounds.

Election Gaming

!!! Barack Obama Wins US Election !!!

What a night - for many different glorious reasons.

I had been looking forward to last night for an absolute age, as a) I wanted to watch the US Election result unfold before my eyes and b) I was certain I could get a lot of our Clan Members onto CoD4. The night did not disappoint on any level.

Save for perhaps - Sporran. Poor chap was afflicted with the RRoD (again!) a few days ago and is not too happy a chappy. May your Box be soon replaced, Spoz (PC gaming for a while for you, no?).

Friendly Chopper on the Way...

Ooh Arr! I finally got me a chopper in this morning, during my 30 minute CoD snippet before work.

Was happily caining HQs on Bog map and the HQ placement was in the empty container at the back of the lot - brilliant for sniping, as long as your team mates prevent being shot from behind, by constantly watching your flank (which the eventually failed me on!).

Prone, behind a tree looking down the scope through the container, you can see the tree and oil drum the enemy come from, and also one side of the back wall at the right hand side of the map - all great for Super Sniping.

Search and Destroy

I am having an increasing amount of fun playing S & D team matches, having moved on from the thrills and kills of Headquarters...

I still love HQs and it really does smash up your score and levels you up fairly quickly, but, as I am still determined to max out my Sniping Classes, I am playing with either a M21, or the Dragunov, which, in close quarters (the majority of the maps) is just a nightmare.

Welcome to Logrus

Welcome to Al (LogrusUK) who has joined the CODnChips team!

Al has finally been persuaded to get a 360+Call of Duty and will be contributing to the site with his views of Call Of Duty.

He's quite keen and has already started blogging, in his unique style, about his COD beginnings, check them out here.
